I bet you get more responses if you put this in the wanted section of the classifieds.

I agree, but someone selling one would prolly go to the classifieds, not the BBS and search for someone looking for one. His post will be aound for only a couple of days before it is off the main page, whereas there are only 16 wanted to buy classifieds right now and his would be at the very tippy top!. I was just suggesting that it would get the attention it deserves in the classifieds section. Frankly I couldn't care less if people post classified type ads in the regular forum, but some people get all bent out of shape about it.
Oh well, to each his own and so on . . . cant we all just git along (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Except for the size of the hooters, that blonde is a spittin' image of my old girlfriend......
Hey Rust Jockey.....send what you have to Palo Alto or No Hollywood speedo. Any speedo 30 years old could use a rebuild....they can even recalibrate it compensate for the modern tire sizes..... |

Everytime I see that damn avatar, I get mesmerized...
Then I gotta look over my shoulder to make sure the wife ain't peekin'. She's tolerant enough of all the time I spend working on the car and on the internet. If she sees titties on a 914 board, I'm gonna get in trouble... ha ha. But I like it, I like it! |

QUOTE LB.. why are you looking for a tach ?? What happened ?? The tach died some time ago - totally unrelated to anything else, as the car is running rich, but very well. Was a great drive today. I've checked wiring, and my connections and grounds seem to be clean and tight. I should have "borrowed" parts for troubleshooting from the 911E while I had it here, but between work and the rain of the last week, I didn't get to it. -Rusty |

"Muellers 6" now has a miss at any constant throttle setting. Just cruising.. it bucks like the trigger points are going bad in a 4cyl car. Everything tests..good. I think I should go ahead and persue my MSD electronic pickup for the Marrelli. I might slap in a set of new points/condesor. Who knows how long they have been in the car.

In my /6, the points, plugs, cap, rotor and coil are all new. It's running well, and pulls HARD up to the rev limiter.

Did you ever figure out the problem LB ??
I mean: actually figure out what cured the running issue. I hate F-ing carbs and dizzy's. LOL B |

Getting rid of the Permatune was a huge step in the right direction. Before I dumped that, I had replaced a bunch of stuff already - and going back to the stock unit made the car driveable.
After that, I think it was clean, adjust, etc. I had both carbs torn apart on my floor for two nights, as I cleaned every little passage and brass bit. I like my carbs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) -Rusty |

Your avatar looks much the same - a girl with ample, bouncing breasts.
Not complaining, Rusty |

Do I dare ask if you "tested" with the permatune after getting it running correctly ??
I ran around in "Muellers6" for a few days switching a Permatune in and out with a 2 different stock Bosch CD's. Didnt have any problems (that I didnt already have) B |
