Within reason, it is better to not have the sidewalls "pinched" inwards as is the case with a 205mm tire on a 6" (152mm") rim. The identical tire will perform better on a wheel that is optimally sized versus one that is too narrow, or too wide.
There is of course a weight differential though. Just out of curiousity... Why run 15x7s with 205.50s instead of 15x6s with 205.50s? Tire patch should be almost identical. Is it all the advantages of a heavier wheel? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
