On top of the hat or under it. Do these things also need a rubber snubber deal so I don't bottom them out? The KYB one I have is too small.

That works, thanks. I have 911 struts. I just read that the bump stop is internal so I don't need and external one. Don't think one would work anyhow due to the large diameter of the strut. I'll put the rubber ring on the top like the picture.

that #6 in the diagram is the spacer in the strut tower bushing |

Got to experiment.IIRC it's about a 1/2 inch length. |
