guys,
i bought some nice (used) rubber seals at the meet. now my question is, what to use to clean them and make them look nice and shiny again ... any suggestions? thanks, Andy |

I've been told in the past that glycerin is the stuff to use for rubber.

I like the Meguire's Professional Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner (#40). It dries with a nice matt sheen and doesn't have that glossy/wet look of Armor All.

Might as well add another choice to confuse you.
Vinylex by Lexol, the leather care peeps. It's a good protectant (not that the others aren't, haven't used them). If you're trying to clean the piece first and then protect it, I'd use a good dishsoap like Palmolive followed by whatever your bullet riddled FLAPS has for protectant. Just don't use Armor-All or any silicone products (silicone should only be used for making hypnotic avatars on web boards). |

I've had good luck using Griot's Garage (local company) Rubber cleaner then applying the conditioner. I'm sure it's similar to the Meguire's. Say no to the wet look!!

Jon, Lexol also has a vinyl cleaner that works really well to go with the lexol vinyl conditioner.
