I have about 3 halon extinguishers but they are starting to age
One of my small 2.5 units is below weight
(essentially has lost enough pressure to need recharging)

Halon can be recharged
it is a better product than halotron due to being about twice as effective
(ie: going twice as far)

but its EXPENSIVE, because its no longer legal to produce it except for military application (sort of like freon... it was terrible for the ozone and they allow its use for old stock and whats still around but no more production)

So Halotron is still pretty good stuff
some of the new wet agents are great also and thats a whole different debate
but I wanted to pass along a heck of a deal
I just ordered one because it was MUCH cheaper for me to replace rather than refill

Lab supply
Halotron 2.5lb extinguishers for 60 bucks!
thats about half price of the standard cost you can find out there
I haven't received mine yet, so I'll reserve final opinion... but I'm not worried

This is a great and important accessory for a running car
