Oh, how it rained! We were all soaked and miserable, huddling around under easy-ups and umbrellas, shivering around bonfires made of magnesium 911 engine cases... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

It was chilly in the AM (at least, I thought so--some of you guys sure didn't!) but warmed up nicely. I've got a bit of a sunburn and I'm feeling really out of it--still!! (Though all the booze the previous three days probably doesn't help that...) I managed to get the pics downloaded and shrunk for inclusion on the board--and I managed to actually get back over here for a change! (Sorry, but sometimes you have to prioritize.)

Wayne and Tom seem reasonably pleased with the way things went. We may very well have a booth at some of the future swap meets in the Bay Area. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

As always, it was good to see faces (most familiar, some not) and meet everyone again.

OK, OK--I know I promised pics. Here they are!

WEVO's table -- drool, drool, drool....

Another cutaway view of Jon's car. (Ron A. asked for pics of these areas, and I thought they were interesting.)

There were other pics of B's tube-framer already posted. This is one of the bits I find interesting on the car--upside-down shocks!

Grey inserts in a 914 seat! The seller also had grey basket-weave material to do the dash face in. Could be an interesting alternative...

Hey, Camp Counsellor Craig! Don't you wish you'd made it down here now? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) A new-in-box Revell kit of the Ginther 914-6 racer.

Pop-top 1.7 pistons and cylinders. I had a close-up of one piston in profile, but the viewfinder was off so it cut off the dome of the piston!! Grr.....

A couple of 2.0 heads. Very few cracks (only saw one or two on the plug bosses, nothing obvious in the exhaust ports).

Deeeeeeeeeeeep-dish 2.0 Bus cylinders. The US-spec 914 pistons had a dish, but it was only a third of the depth of this!! (The original European 2.0 pistons also had a dish, but again much shallower than this.)
