I got up there as best I could without going hog nuts wild. At first I wasn't going to remove seam sealer but after I did a little and found a little surface where the sealer had dried and receeded so now I'm taking off as much as I can from the underbody, front trunk, etc.

Ah yes, here goes the paint debate once again.

I wanted something I could rattle-can on because I was tired of brushing and wearing POR-15. I'll still use POR but on vertical or upside down surfaces a can is nice. So I'd heard of and thought I'd try Zero-Rust. It seems to have a lot of good qualities but a big negative so far is that it seems to scratch off pretty easily. The Zero-Rust folks recommend 3 to 3.5 mils for good coverage, well that's a hella lotta rattle can paint (a 3 mil plastic sheet dropcloth from your local hardware store is what your unemployed cousin would have duct taped to the rear window of his AMC Pacer).

I was going to use leave the fenderwells black with Zero-Rust but now I'm reconsidering painting them along with the rest of the car.

Yeah Jon, that Por-15 stuff sticks better to skin than anything else. I kinda like the rattle can myself, cheap and easy.
Nice start on a car Jon, always glad to meet some of the other members of the wannabe club. Jenny's car has a ways to catch up to yours. Plus yours wasn't full on water.
