What is the tallest air cleaner I can run in the car with the rain tray out?

What mods can be done to fit taller ones?

I have VERY tall K&N's with Outerwears on my motor.FYI.

maybe they can be shortened? the stock /6 cleaner with a K&N cylindrical cartridge filter should fit and filter just fine ... (i use that filter cartridge on my 911 and it works fine... keeps the rain out, sounds good, filters good ...)
