I am removing my back pad to have it recovered.
After removing screws and hood release cap, do I pull down or push up to remove? Thank you in advance. |

Pull the lower pad outwards after removing the four screws. The pad will be pressed DOWN to release the inner hooks on the upper part of the pad behind each seat.
Mostly, the lower pad gets hung up from below. Don't rip the upper pad out. Good luck. |

don't forget to remove the engine lid release grommet. it has t spanner holes to unscrew it

I usually use needle-nose pliers or snap-ring pliers to unscrew the grommet. (And the other ones on the car for that matter.)
The bottom of the back pad slides forward, toward the front of the car. That gives you enough slack to push the pad downward, un-hooking the tabs on the back side of the pad from the brackets on the firewall. --DD |
