I'm not in on the planning of the WCC, but what if everyone who registered were to include their car color? Then numbers could be handed out with the packet, so people could park in a nice arc according to their number, in a nice rainbow. 914s come in such bright colors and I think pic like this would really show them off well.

A nice idea...we wanted to do something similar for WCC 2004. People would really need to be committed to it for it to work. It is alot of work to not only get the cars organized, but also perfectyly aligned....it would take several hours to do it right.

The problems we faced included:

A short time schedule.
Some who signed up didnt show up.
Some who showed up didnt sign up.

Many 914 owners have several cars and we dont know which one they will bring until they...show up. They would list the car they thought they would be driving and show up in something else...even a non-914.

It could be planned, but I think for it to work, the final decision and organization of cars (place assignments) could only be made after the event started to know exactly who was there and what they were driving.

And the number one reason they didn't try this in 2004:

Too close to San Francisco (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grouphug.gif)
