Looks like the Fiberwerks unit is the one I am going with.
The dual electric fan cowlings will not require any machining of the block, will be actuated by a thermostat, allowing oil temps to get to 180F before turning on. The wiring/thermostat is similar to the unit I used on the rocket for the oil cooler that I robbed from a 930 Turbo. Pretty solid, I had no problems in three years of use. I will be using a 90 amp one wire GM alternator so the electrical load won't be overwhelming. Just ordered the conversion flywheel from Kennedy....decided to go that route as the 914 flywheel from Rimco cut down seemed "iffy"....200mm kevlar "mikey proof" clutch and heavy duty Sachs pressure plate. The GT flares arrived last week, the 993 wheels are getting powder coated, ordering rubber today. Anyone wanna come over and help sawzall some fender well cut outs? When was the last time anyone got the opportunity to sawzall a 356???? Z |

My boss doesn't care about either, especially after 5pm. It's just the squares that might be working late in the office that might stir up trouble. But they have failed in their attempts to get me fired for more than five years, so I'm not THAT worried...
