Alignment time after new tires. Had to put one 3mm shim in left rear.
Attached a copy of the printout
Got a 4 wheel alignment at Jcs Alignment in Huntington Beach for $89.00; others using the same equipment wanted $180 - $250
The only other shop with a reasonable price was Discount Tire.$89.00

Dig that copper penny color...that's what my 75 was till the previous painted it deep blu...I love the boys but man that original copper penny is sweet

Made a stand to hold my iPhone from some common plumbing parts....and a special iPhone holder that was made to fit into the 986 cupholder; which has an unique adjustable base. Woks pretty good, haven't been able to tip it over.

Finally got the fuel pipes to seal at the tank. I also discovered the fuel gauge works. Everything on my car was / is untested until I refit and test during the rebuild.

I also made amendments to the trunk straps to stop the trunk hinges crushing against the two small grill sections. Now they're in primer and hung over the kitchen radiator.

I also set up my new tool chest and cleared some much needed work / storage space.

Been working on the creamsicle off and on for the last 2~3 weeks. New Bilsteins and coil springs, replaced speedo cable, and chasing electrical gremlins all in prep for the Route 66 outing. Just when I backed it out of the shop it started to rain and get dark. Not that I'm just a fair weather driver, but it can wait until tomorrow.Attached Image

Pittsburgs brand,
Got em at Harbor Freight.
I'm surprise how well they work out of the box,
after some assembly of course.

I talked to the original owner today of my six. I had a piece of newspaper ad from when the PO bought the car in 1976. The phone number was still good after all these years! 1st owner actually bought the car in Belgium while he was working over there. He claims that it was the first 914-6 delivered in Europe that met US specs that wasn't a fly and drive deal. Maybe. Anyway, it was awesome to talk to him and hear stories about him driving my car on the old Spa track and going WFO on the autobahn. Now I know the complete history of the car from new until now.
