Car is at PMB, things that are being done to the car. New cv joint drivers side, new hood springs, new 914 rubber led headlight bulbs, new 914 rubber plastic backpad being redone with new vinyl and foam, new rear rotors, some electrical work also being done. Started reworking my old set of Pedrinis...a light bead blast, then prime, wet sand, and paint. Fingers crossed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This a common problem with replacement lens.

I found some small diameter rubber tubing and used it to fill the gap. Not perfect but works for me.

I put in an new throttle cable from Porsche. Much nicer than the GEMO one I had also bought.

It is nice to have a smooth throttle actions now.

The old and potentially original cable had sawed through the plastic sheath.

This was not as hard a job as I was expecting but I did take the console out of my car for not reason.

Tonight I removed the Speedo drive and put new seals in there. Only to discover I may need to do the gear selector shaft also.

I've had no end of trouble painting the front bumper. There was always a reaction in the paint but in different places. I painted them orange first but changed my mind and have put them back to black. The rear bumper is ready to refit. The front one had a small reaction again in one place. After a chat with one of my customers I now have a different, tough, paint to use.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have that done finally.

Set a personal best going up my local hill climb, and celebrated when I got home by tightening the heater lever assembly which would not stay up. Must be an age thing.

I just did a rear window reseal, Fixed my door light switches, and now cutting new sound pads for under my carpet. And, added to my list of parts to order some day of course.

I think I now have every functional issue dealt with. Time to enjoy until I do a full resto possibly this winter. Knees willing.
