I painted my car a while ago and although good there were a few imperfections. During the rebuild a few more imperfections have been added. Today i corrected most of those imperfections and keyed the whole car for a final blow over. Hopefully i can get it painted next weekend.

Although it's the 70th anniversary bash at my local porsche dealer on saturday so i'll have to do it all on sunday.

After replacing the speedo drive seals this week there was a stench of transmission oil in the garage but thankfully no leak. Sense of smell must be more sensitive than normal.

So so close to being road legal!!!

PO removed the engine number????

Not a good thing.

If I was the law I would want that x-rayed. The stamping from the factory leaves an impression deeper than what they scraped. You never should have shown this to anyone. Well when it’s in your car it will not be able to be seen but WTF. Is that the engine that was in my 73 911s that got ripped off 35 years ago 500 miles after a full rebuild?

I'm not stoked on it either. Its a bummer.
The engine has been in my storage for about 10 years. Before that my dads friend owned it for about 15-20 years. He was going to use the engine for an airboat.
I figured I saved it.
Whatever.....

Changed back to an LE type front dam, have had the flex dam on for the past 15 years or so, so it’s a nice change. While I was in there I swapped the fog bulbs for LEDs and cleaned the lenses (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

They were hard to find, I only wanted “plug and play” and no one makes that bulb type except for a vintage led guy in Australia (would have to dig to find his info)

Here are the bulbs:
