Drove Elwood over to Plano to pick up a nice front valence from Rich Johnson.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Still need to tweak the carbs, and some other cosmetic things on him.

Frody sprung an oil leak from the pump. I am going to pull the motor tomorrow and reseal. I think it pulled a stud. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Picked-up my 7th grade daughter’s (My wife’s flute a 30 yrs old Armstrong Flute) flute after it was serviced/tuned of a 38 yrs. experienced in various instruments. While looking at his repair shop, me and my daughter saw several old porsche posters. Well i asked the technician if I can take a picture of some of the posters. I didn’t edit the picture to show how It is post at his wall.

Not a 914 but tried out PlastiDip antique gold on Linea Corsas. A lot of masking involved and you have to get the tape off while the paint is still wet. The good news is that if you screw up, it peals right off.

Putting ceiling grid up over her parking spot so I can insulate the roof. R-19 going in above the grid. Pics tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing the pix, Joe. We're just finishing up with that here too, but went with R30 in the ceiling and R13 in the walls of the den & front porch remodel. The den didn't have any insulation, or drywall - only had 1/8" paneling on the walls (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

When were finished with the house, I want to insulate and drywall the garage walls - and make room for a couple of cars again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Search this seller on Ebay
hphporschesales

I bought 3 other sail trim sets that didn't meet my expectations so I paid big $ for these but I'm happy now.
I have bought from them on and off and like 914Rubber " Great packaging and customer service. They even called me with shipping status. Who does that anymore.

I painted it myself Oscar. Finally learned how to block out panels. Sometimes the results were stunning, and other times they weren't. But overall I'm pretty happy with the paint job.

I took Elwood out and drove him today. I realized the tires are starting to feel a bit iffy, so I am going to have to get new ones before the trip. So when I finally find the Mahle gas burners for him, somebody will get new tires when I sell the 16x6 fuchs.

I spent the day fixing a pulled stud for the oil pump on Frody (Betty's car). Pulled the motor, pulled the tin and fan housing, pulled the engine support bar, and the oil pump.

I had to heli-coil the holes in the case for the studs. Found a pump gasket in my stash, but had to print and cut out the pump cover gasket.

It is back together, but I have to fix the power leads on the chassis harness where they attach to the battery and mount the ECU.

Betty cleaned and repainted the front valance for Elwood.

All in all a good day.

Rob (Robnoxious) drove over today to pick up a relay board...however before he got to my house his car wouldn't start at a convenient store he stopped off at near my house.

So I drove over there and we ended up having to push start it and took it to my house where I removed his starter and I installed my known good starter motor. Still wouldn't start until I wiggled the wire going to the solenoid.

Cleaning up the garage right now, hope to work on the 914 tomorrow for a few hours.

Grid is up but not tied in yet. Got it located, now I need to square it up and rivet it in place.

This is a test. New phone and a new PC.
