Dropped the engine to install a new Meziere water pump.

Which Meziere water pump did you buy? I used the electric remote mount 55gms and mounted it on the lower radiator hose outlet and it worked beautifully. Then you can run those tiny plates to the front of the block which allows more clearance behind the fire wall.

@cali914 I used the same set up. Pricey little pump, huh? Boy does it throw some water thru those lines. I ran 1.75" on the suction side per Mezeiere. What size did you run? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I had one bushing in the linkage that had a decent degree of slop, The one in the shifter console at the back of the tranny. I have been wanting to replace it for sometime, so today I took an hour and spun up a new one out of Delrin, pretty much eliminating any side to side movement at the shift rod. I was really pleasantly surprised when I took out the car for a test ride to find that finding first at a stop was totally crisp, no more dropping into third and then over to first or trying to force the first gear.

Really was an hour well spent, worth getting under the car

Looks like it'll do the trick real well. It reminded me that I bought a bunch of that Noico mat a couple years ago for the 'BB' ... I guess I can use it it 'Eileen' when I get a chance to replace the original paneling.

1 inch and inch and 3/4 on the other side. I ran inch on both sides with my v6 honda engine, and used stock honda water pump with Renegade Ron Davis radiator and the car stayed between 180 and 190 with fans on all day. I think the radiator is the key. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Which TB unit are you using and does this 911 have the 915 transmission? How do you like the TB? Have you tried the Limited Slip?

It has a euro 3.0l engine with CIS. It does have a 915 gearbox with either a Guard or some other type of TB diff. Not sure as I've yet to dig into it. Hope to refresh it this winter.

C&C old Scottsdale this AM at Fourtillfour (356) ... took the '73. Look carefully and you'll see a REAL 959 in the front of the line.

Another beautiful '71 6 by PMS (and Jim Patrick drove it there) all tricked out inside and out.
