Installed a third brake light. They're LED's and quite bright. OLAF also added the light as there sold in pairs. Took 1 and a half hours to install. Hid the wire in the butyl that holds the back window. Spliced into the harness in the rear trunk. Can't even tell this isn't a factory job. Now if only I can find a rain shield for the LED strip - or do I even bother.

@North Coast Jim - Looks good, and they're more effective being mounted as high as possible, since our cars sit so low to the ground. I'll be doing something similar.

Only one image. It kept rotating the original so I snipped it, rotated it and resaved as a jpg

Just finished my display with the original instruments.
I bought an extra combo gauge after reconditioning the electronic speedo and the rev. counter.
Now there is a complete extra cluster for the car and I’ll keep the original in this display.

Not really anything done TO my 914, but I finally added the VINs to the database. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?&am...mp;byUser=21432 Surprised to see that a PO already added the VIN of my DD when it was still in their ownership in California. That must've been at least 6 years ago because that's when the car was exported to The Netherlands.

I have said numerous times that rain doesn't touch my car.

I lied.

Today I went and ripped around in it. While it's not really raining hard, it's very wet outside. These cars love the cool fresh air and with a bit of dampness I broke it loose a bit.

I'll never grow up.

I took care of that issue by mounting the LED unit under the targa bar next to the window. Used hook and loop with adhesive backs.
