Cleaning up in the E-box, putting heat shrink on everything. Now that the E-box is done I con do the box in the engine bay then I can start doing it to the rest of the loom.

Attached Image

I was putting this off because it is such a pain in the ass. By tomorrow I should have all of the loom covered. Then i will go back to the aerodynamics.
Looking at the pic I see still see some of the blue plastic from the connectors, one little piece in the bottom of the pic is just something I dropped in the box and some up in the left corner which is the ground post. I wasn't going to do those but now I will.

Attached Image

I feel better now.
Almost, need to straighten out the 2 relays in the middle. Funny how you don't see things till after you post them.

Sorted out somebody else's idea of an efficient throttle linkage - no more sticky throttle pedal and a far more pleasant driving experience. The car also passed its UK tech inspection, so all paperwork sent off to get it registered on UK roads. Just in time for spring/summer!

All the P-cars are still on deck waiting for me to finish up with the camper/bug-out Porsche transporter conversion, which is slowly but surely coming along nicely.

The 'bathroom' area in the rear is pretty much done except for the plumbing and the shower curtain. It has a folding privacy wall for the porta-potty area and a fold-down shower pan that when both are stowed away, still allows plenty of width for any of the P- cars to fit comfortably.

Attached Image

Recently been working on the kitchenette area. Temporarily installed the counter-top and a small sink, as well as mocking up where a slide-out A/C unit will go.

Attached Image

Removed the counter-top yesterday so I could install a small cargo door for the A/C unit and then covered the walls with PolyWall sheeting like the bathroom has.

Next task(s) will be installing the electrical systems, including solar and generator power sources, as well as a shore power connection ... then the H2O and propane plumbing. When that's done, the counter-top can go back in, and constructing the cabinet doors and drawers should finish up work in the v-nose area.

My cars and bikes are gonna like riding in this 'rolling garage' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Worked on the wire looms until I got board then I started to do the targa bar fairing. The wires are looking really good but I got burned out working on them continusely and haven't been able to work on them for months. I have some fiberglass work to do also. So maybe by changing up the projects I'll avoid burnout.

I took my old cracked fiberglass front valance, repaired it, and cut and glassed in a mini GT opening for the front oil cooler.
Needs sanding and paint, but the fab work is finished.

Finally got my car home from its GT transformation. Steel flares, fibreglass bumpers, sills etc, full GT cooling setup, Through hood filler, bonnet pins etc etc...

Looks fantastic. What engine? Do you have a build thread?
@mph911

No build thread. Its engineless at the moment. Waiting to find a decent 6 for the right price (not that easy in Australia). I have a Naro engine mount in. Its set up with Patrick oil tank and GT oil cooler setup. I have headers already. Its already got full SC front and rear GT style brakes. It had the inspection hole already. The car had a very comprehensive restoration in 1999 (only 8500kms ago) and was built for a 6.

I know exactly what you mean, Joe. By the time I finish the various construction projects currently going on here, I'll be more than ready to focus my attention on getting 'HOWARD' back on the road, as well as a couple of other cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Nice job on the Valance, Don @don-6 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)

Getting a lot of work done on the wire loom on Carerror. The hole back of the car is done. Everything is in heat shrink and all the connections are complete. I checked all the lights to see if they worked and even the license plate light works.

Separated the rest of the wires in the front trunk into 3 groups, cover them tomorrow. Hopefully I won't have much trouble shooting to do.

Cleaned the relay board, especially the contacts for the voltage regulator and the gray-wrapped 3-pin cable to alternator. This appears to have addressed my no-/low-charging problem, as now it's charging at 13.8 volts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Celebrated with a 65-mile top-off test drive. Perfect weather, great roads, and no traffic. Got home with no problem, shut it off for 30 min to let it heat-soak, and it restarted on the first turn of the key.

A few weeks ago I told my bride that reliability is the enemy of adventure, but it sure is nice to have the car start without having to push it.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Installed the new Hella Super Tone horns
Rebuilt the pedal set
Installed better visors
Installed new front Targa lower seal
Installed better RH seat cushion

Reorganized the parts collection so I can update my inventory list.

I went in for the bi-annual MoT check and failed due to the LED bulbs. They put out much light upwards and no amount of adjusting would fix it. So I bought some regular H4 halogens and put them in. Looked much better against the garage door at least. Will have to go back in next week and have it pass.

Put the new stock springs and new koni adjustable rears together. Black color has replaced the Red's. On the learning curve that goes with this DO NOT USE single hook spring compressor.. When they slide around and you have to start over and chew the paint off spring. Went to 3 national chains to rent compressor but what they had would not work. Ended up having to buy the black double hooks for $20 shipped on Ebay.
