After some shame by another member (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I FINALLY got around to applying the side stripes in preparation for the APGD. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ha! Yes that was pretty crucial to be able to work on/drive the car. I've got case VR1 oil showing up tomorrow. Now that it's legal to drive I'm going to change the oil and drive it around enough to figure out what else is wrong with it. The 6 mile round trip to the BMV is the longest drive it's been on in the 4 years I've owned it

The 75 is ready for paint now and will be sent to the shop soon.

Well since it’s after midnight it was yesterday but I got my backpads back today, my friend Jim knows a guy that does automotive and marine upholstery, and dropped off my original back pad pieces and the material from I 914rubber kit I actually got second hand. Anyway started putting the 3 pieces together and hope to put this in the car tomorrow!

I replaced my bad fuel pump & finally got my car started for the first time in 3 years. My upgraded subaru WRX motor has been a long time getting to this point. Damn hydraulic clutch line has a leak. So need to get some parts tomorrow before I can actually try to drive it. Still need to get it to the Dyno for a tune.

Replaced front shock inserts with Bilsteins, added side stripes. Lowered the front a little.

Looks like you have a rust blob growing beneath the right side sail panel vinyl. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Getting ready for Okteenerfest

Reset my timing.. I had it at 27 btdc and remember reading somewhere that Jake recommended the timing be set at 28-30 for the 9590 cam. So I had tried it at 30.....
it didn't like it there, I stalled it a couple times. seems I lost something on the bottom. so I reset it to 28 and every thing is running good. I messed with the idle mixture a bit too. I still cant get the idle below 1150-1200. Oh well.

Installed new non-fog horn grills from Sierra Madre. chrome was a little sketchy on the old ones.

Gave it a bath.

These 914s work well with a little "character", some times I like em better that way. Tell us about that muffler though ... engine size, sound characteristics, etc.
