look forward to seeing it in a few weeks,

No chrome tips for now but may add later.
Wanted to see what the all black looks like first.

Looks amazing! I've got one on order too, asking for black now after seeing yours! I've also requested the chrome tips.

Was a busy weekend on the 914, will get my tank expansion tank back on tonight, pulled it to replace heat tubes and the air tubes up front and finished reinstalling all the trim on the sail panels after redoing the vinyl, big job, hard to get it perfect this is my 3rd time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Thanks to Keith Hully (914Toy), he helped change out the heat exchangers. Lots of small stuff got fixed and everything is sound

thanks! it really does look so much better. The original clamps actually were yellow zinc plated, but have some overspray on them etc. i will try and clean them up, and have not been successful in finding identical ones so silver will do for now. i was surprised at how the Mequire's plastic polish and cleaner made the diverter boxes look like new!.

bits and pieces here and there. Its not perfect or concours but it sure is an improvement.

so all that soot!! obviously you were getting blow by due to not being sealed tight, i had that happen once, didnt get them in place correctly. i am sure things will sound much better now too with your new stuff and new gaskets.

Always anneal the exhaust 'gaskets' before installing them ... it softens them up so they'll adapt to the mating surfaces better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Gawked at the new beast in my garage as it sprinkled rain in SoCal this am... Then when things dried up I went down to pay a visit to @Lucky9146 to show off the new purchase.

The whole thing feels very surreal still (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)
