Awesome job! Kudos!

Now whatever I do will be looking 2nd rate.........no way I can match what you've done!

Gunked everything and then pressure-washed (yes, all holes plugged or capped, made special covers to bolt over the intake manifold ports) with 2500psi, and STILL lots of places the black gunk, sometimes almost 3/16" thick, would NOT come off.

Almost hammer & chisel hard. 2nd attempt will be tomorrow, using Oven-cleaner.

I'm not going down to metal on my tins tho..........

Over the past week:

Got new 914 Rubber visors and installed them using the pins from the original visors, which I still have but are nearly disintegrated.

Installed heater hose from 914 Rubber

Capped a couple of interior screw holes with caps from... you guessed it, 914 Rubber

Tightened the thermostat cable to the engine flaps

Hoping to (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) this weekend!

Finished taking off the wrapping on the engine harness. That pile is what was taken off of the harness. The blue tape is used at factory splices using barrel splices (closed I believe)

Drove it to a field with a bunch of old beaters who drive way too fast. All have very sticky tires.
Three 6s, two GT style and my skinny.

Those tires are so sticky they can drive upside down.

A little more massaging of intake cover I started this weekend.

Not a fan of excess wiring or exposed trunk cut outs that are typical with subaru or V8 engine conversions...

Did you test to see if the top will still fit in there? From the pictures, it doesn't look like it will.
