So far in the New Year, Elvira has been a work commuter and domestic errand runner. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Today was our first opportunity to take a nice long drive, exclusively for the enjoyment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Working on the valve train geometry, Ian's youtube with input from Jake is very informative. I am taking my time with things.

Pulled the driver side door latch off to start lubing/refreshing the door mechanism. One of the three screws that hold the mechanism was rusted so decided to WD40 it instead of stripping it. Will try it tomorrow.

Got my 2.7 case back from Ollies a week ago. They are somewhat back logged, and not cheap, but I am expecting good results when things come together.

Heard good things about Ollies- stopped by there last year when I dropped off a transaxle at California Motorsport, about 2 miles from them. A friend with me had his 356 case and heads there and he wanted to check on them.
I've heard from many people they do great work... looking forward to finding out myself.

Sorting through my collection of calipers preparatory to sending some off to PMB for my six.

We've got two rebuilt front at the upper left, they should be ready to bolt on.
The three rears right below them should be enough to get me a matched set of GT spec calipers suitable for vented disks.
The other four are a pair of A's and a pair of M's, and they're cores or hardware donors.

I looked at it sitting there all cold and lonely while I made sure the snow blower was operational. A sad sad day...

Starting to layout the aim system (pdm08), ordered two more custom bars for the cage, and installed new hoses on brake cooling kit.

Thanks to this forum, found some easy fixes to a squeaky roof. Bought some $5 velcro and installed fuzzy side over existing seal (which the fuzzy had worn down). Also put some rubber hose over the latch.

Installed new AA 96mm pistons/cylinders on #1 and #2. All was going good until the new pushrod tubes/seals were being difficult. Give it another try tomorrow.

73, 1.7: changed the oil and filter again for the third time. Used least expensive oil from Walmart, filter from O’Riellys. Oil looked like coffee with way too much milk in it. Engine had a lot of water in the oil from m the last big rain we just had. Car sits outside. Rain gutter is missing from engine deck lid. Filled it up, dumped it out. Filled it up, dumped it out. Filled it up, dumped it out. Also removed and cleaned oil strainer. Had a ton of gunk and sludge in and on it. Went for a drive by the bay under the palms. Had lunch, watched the boats quietly pass. Listening to Rammstein, Eiesbrecher, Hank Jr., and Waylon. Good times!!
