Started cleaning the engine bay in advance of putting the engine back in. The car has been down for awhile,I have been chasing a rear caliper flex issue.

Tracked down that the current fuel pump is not working and removed it. Also drained all of the 20yr old fuel out of the tank and then removed the tank. I hope to drop it off this week to have it boiled out and cleaned. Then I will reseal it and paint it. I also discovered car already hey stainless fuel lines installed.

There is 20 years of dust I need to clean out of here. Also plan to replace fuel lines and brake lines from the resevoir.

Attached my new clutch release bearing to my 0 mile gearbox.... weak.

I did send out some sideshift conversion parts out to Brad. Sent some of my 356 parts out too!!

I also took delivery of a 60 gallon air compressor and scheduled an appointment with an electrician to wire it up for Monday. Hooray for AIR TOOLS!!!

Spent a lot of time reorganizing and cleaning up at the shop yesterday (in prep for the Carb Clinic/Lift Party next Saturday) ...

The heat and humidity beat me up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) ... so I took a long nap today.

Harpo, You might consider removing the sound deadening in the little "valleys" on your floor boards. Water can get into that area under your dynomat and rust will begin. You will not loose any effectiveness of vibration dampening from doing this.

Took the top off and went for a 200 mile drive. Had a great time dodging rain showers. If it was raining in the west we headed east.

Replaced the battery that was refusing to hold a charge.

Cleaned up the engine bay a little.

Put in new bolts and lock washers to hold down the rain hats on the carbs.

Sanded and bondo'd the targa top some more. Going for that smooth look.

Added pics to the 44idfs I am selling in the classified (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I replaced the radiator in my Honda Accord and cleaned up the engine bay.........then I got my 914 out and went for a couple hour drive with the top off. Sort of strange working on the Honda and not the 914.
