Same here - the cap is so sweet I used the 6ton press. Worked like a charm

I'm probably an idiot but I built this press to install new bushings in my front control arms.

I know I could have threaded the rod through where the torsion bar goes, but I powder coated the cap in place.

Anyway, it worked.

That's some great "engineering" there for sure.

Nice job.

Finally installed the new Odyssey PC925 battery that I have been preparing for a long time. New fabricated/relocated lower battery tray and holder. Keeping my second battery mount in rear trunk for emergency situation.

Got the chance to pull my project from the corner of our garage. Was able to check several boxes of purchased items I keep placing inside the car.
Still have few more small boxes not able to open that are inside the interior floor and from garage shelvings.
Like most of the members, I ended up also having 2 or more same parts in my inventory.

Thank you Michael! The complete Spoke’s LED kit I bought from you is not in that picture yet. Hoping to finish my engine bay prep so I can start installing the engine and all those parts.

But after finishing my project, still not even 20% as beautiful as your car!

Wow. I love the green. How difficult was it to do the other end? There is hardly any clearance to grab the lip.

Drove it! Texas summers can be uncomfortable, so you have to start early! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Did my first test drive today, after a long wait.
7 months to be exact after I got it in my garage, but 40 years of knowing the sitting car, I finally drove the car today, and what a nice feeling.

Took it out for its first real drive after 1 year of ownership - mostly sitting in my garage up on the quick jack. Spent all weekend polishing and detailing and decided to drive about 10 miles away for coffee. Never been on the road for more than 10 minutes at a time since I purchased it. It's almost like having an additional car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Replaced front wheel bearings, reset rear bilsteins to raise rear end just a bit, rebuilt rear shift linkage from firewall back. Also new coco mats. Front end noise gone and car shifts wonderfully now! Took my daughter out on Carmel Valley road for a short blast. I love this car!
May display it at Werkes Reunion in August, we’ll see. A few more things to do. Didn’t get a chance to install the Blaupunkt Frankfurt I bought at G&R’s swap meet a month ago.

Thanks raynekat.

I won't show the homemade bearing driver I made to install the rear bearings. It too worked but I'm still ashamed of it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Mounted some new wheels and tires while I spend some time refinishing the original steels. I think it looks pretty good, the car is very original so will go back to the steels once I get them sorted out.

Also removed old tint on windows

Fixed the engine lid, would pop up while driving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Radio stopped working, so will mess with that this weekend.

installed a new MPS but I think it is for a 2.0

All in a days work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
