Drove my son to his Taekwondo class in Violet today ( 30 kilometre round trip).
Since i broke my spine last year, i still dont get to drive her much as i'm still recovering and suffering from referred nerve pain.
Today was a good day so out she came.
And while we were in the class, it clouded over and down the rain came.
So glad i put the roof on before we left home ( more to do with the neighbourhood than the weather at the time ).

Just had to hang the back end out on the way home at one point, which made my son smile like i've never seen him smile before.

Thinking this soon to be 8 year old now has a new interest (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Cheers

Dale

Got a call from the machine shop on Friday. The case for Betty's motor needs line bored. So yesterday I stripped the low mileage 1.8L case and took it to the machine shop.

Got my car on the lift this morning and dropped the motor to fix the oil leak. Turns out that the gasket between the timing chain box and the cam carrier (this is a six) slipped out of position when I reassembled it. I also have a stud pulling from the right side engine case, so I have to Heli-Coil that one, reassemble the engine, and time the cams.

Then it goes in and the car will be back on the road. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) I so miss driving my 914.

The 'BB' is leaking a couple of places too ... from the strainer washer and the passenger side rocker arm cover.

It full of fresh BP oil, so I'll replace the rocker gasket, but won't get to the strainer washer until it's time for an oil change. I want to install a tuna can anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Joe's race car shrouded / cloaked in star trek toys.

I was going to use the "quote" button but I was afraid that it would copy all of the pics!

Thanks for clarifying! Wow I love the 3.0 and 3.2 bet it tears up the track. I wonder how much it weighs? looks pretty stripped down. 1600 lbs?
