On track to have my 73 914 1.7 finished by June. This project started in 1983 with my purchase of a complete rust bucket. Found another 914 in 1989 that had been completely disassembled and dipped to kill rust. Made headway for a year and changed jobs and got married. Retired in 2022 and got tired of looking at the bare hulk in Nov. 2023. Steady progress since then. Can't wait to drive it this summer!

Did this over the weekend.

This 914 belongs to the wife of @scottthephotog , @K.T. She wanted a six, so we put in the old 2.4L MFI motor out of my six conversion. Still have a bunch of wiring and hookup work to do, but it's in there.

Hopefully they make it to Okteenerfest with both their cars.

Drove our old 914 about 100 miles up to Ft Monroe VA and back; what Terri called "returning to the scene" forty-three years later.

It's gone by in the twinkling of an eye, with more than a few losses along the way. Feeling very fortunate that we've made it this far.

We would do that, but we would end up in a parking lot at Fair Park in Dallas. And I don't have the 924 I was driving at the time.

I've been cleaning up the back end while my engine is being rebuilt. Replaced a bundle of fried wiring running from the harness to the back lights. Replaced fuel lines. Added Tangerine shift bushing to firewall. Powder coated and Zinc all parts. Undercoated with POR15. New shocks and springs from Elephant Racing. The brakes will go back next.

Got the engine/trans installed with a new clutch and some other associated bits. Did not get the heating system installed and drove her in to work this am, temperature 36

had to resort to cleaning the windscreen as in the old days aka bug with 0 heat
