I replace my transmission mount with the sports ones.
How do you like those mounts?
You won't notice a difference, unless your originals are shot. They're about an 1/8" shorter in height than 914 OEMs, so they slightly tilt the drive train (a fraction of a degree). You'll need to elongate the mounting holes in so they'll align with the mounts.

All’s I did was drive mine. I stowed the roof in the trunk, fired up the iPod and headed north up the coast. I went up to Pescadero and then turned around and headed home…

WTH nice hell hole repair, eh? They used sheet metal screws to screw tin on, didn't cut rust out, doesn't look like they rust proofed it, no seam sealer then looks like they put duct tape over screws and some kind of filler then stray painted every thing..to be honest I think the repair looks worst then the rust would have.

Now I have to pull them and relocate and rewire the idiot lights.

Sorted and bagged 30# of assorted hardware going to Series 9 today. Stillneed to add a emergency brake cable. Going to pull it out of Carerror cause I can't find the one on the bench, I know it's there somewhere.

If I can't find it I'll take the one out of Carerror and get this stuff sent off.

Decided to repaint the 914 with the help of a friend so I took it to his shop to get it straightened out before painting

Finally got the euro '74 to the house and started tearing into it. Looks good from a distance but floor is rotted, door panels are shot, lots of DAPO stuff. It has been idle for about 10 years so lots of water damage from leaks into the cabin.
There are still lots of good parts that I will use on my LE such as exhaust system, engine tin, front and rear deck lids, and other odds-n-ends.

Does anyone know if driving lights were installed from the factory on euro cars? Or are these aftermarket? There is not a factory fog light switch on the dash.

Don't think its a euro car, with those side marker lights, but I love (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) that color.

Too bad you can't save it.

Yeah, it's a euro... no VIN on the A pillar, the side marker lights are actually installed about 1/2" too low, the holes to mount the bumper tits are in the wrong place, and it has a GB engine.

I really wanted to save it but one project is enough. If anyone is interested in the rolling chassis, let me know. The floor needs replaced but the HH and a few other areas have been patched in the past. Pictures upon request.

Disabled my heater due to the fact that all it did was vent exhaust gas into the cabin.

Those are the euro spec driving lights, H3, yes factory, you see GTs with them as well...worth some $$

I hoarded up a pair of those in the early 90s but haven't ever put them on because now they are so rare...

I began tearing down a spare 1.7 motor today. It was in rough shape but I found out it had high compression pistons... cool! I'm tearing into spare motor #2 tomorrow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
