Sunday I added fuel and fired her up and let her run for 20 minutes or so. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Can't seem to find a a/x date that fits my schedule. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Also repaired another outside door handle for a fellow member. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I've fixed about 20 I'd say. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Dropped Betsy off at the doctor's office to get a valve adjustment and a full check up before the 1000 mile drive to Hershey next month. I have a list of about 15 things I want to try and do to her before the trip.

Working on the front trunk rain channels as they are half rotten been trying to figure out the best was to do this? Ended up buying some 3/4" square tubing and ripped it with my table saw with a 10" 3mm chop saw blade down to a 1/2". The width is perfect just not sure if the 1/2" is going to be too deep once I get the trunk rubber in. Also the metal tubing is fairly thick gauge but was thinking it might work as a cowl brace and stiffen it up a bit.

I'm still a little confused if I should spray the car in primer and just tape off the rusty sections till I fix it? Or just fix the rust and spray the whole car when it's done? It's in a heated garage but have a couple of areas getting a little bit of flash rust.. I spent a lot on getting it blasted so I don't want to waste it.. If I do prime it I'm just scared of the metal bits getting stuck into the fresh primer paint.

So, the asshole cops with nothing better to do than harrass good citizens came by today while I was at work. Told my roommate that Christine looked like an abandoned car( which is hilarious as I don't know many people who put an umbrella cover on a Porsche and abandon it in front of their house). Told her that if I didn't move the car they would tow it away. Now, keep in mind, Christine is properly tagged, fully insured, completely operational with air in all 4 tires parked in front of my house legally. Therefore, when I got home from work tonight I fired her up, took her for a drive, then swung by the local asshole precinct. I convinced an officer to come outside and look at the car and asked him what he saw. His reply was "A cool little sports car that sounded and looked good, just needed a paint job". So I say to him, "You mean it doesn't look like an abandoned car?", to which he replied was I trying to be funny, how could it be an abandoned car if I were out driving it and it was licensed properly and everything working. I said my point exactly and handed him a picture of Christine and told him to post it where the "gang" that worked there could see it and to have them stop threatening to have my "abandoned car towed! I then got in Christine and did 2 laps around the parking lot and drove off. I will probably be arrested on some bullshit charge tomorrow but for tonight, I made my point and it felt really good. Party on folks and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif) the man!

Rant over. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif)

Wow! I read recently that you have one of the highest crime rates in the country one of the 5 most dangerous cities to live in.... surely they should have better things to be doing - sounds like you have a neighbor that may have made a complaint? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Back in the late 70's, I got a call from a friend while I was at work ... told me that Redondo Beach PD had my 67 bus towed from my house because an 'auto theft detective' said the license plate and DMV record didn't match the VIN tag. If he knew his ass from a hole in the ground, he would have known the tag he was reading wasn't a VIN tag, but a paint code tag (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Also removed the plastic lines from the tunnel. Ready to install my new Tangerine SS lines.

Haven't been satisfied with the ride on the white car, new shocks and struts didn't quite make the difference I'd hoped for.

So I purchased all new suspension bushings, from elephant racing, there goes the budget (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

Can't wait till they get here, so I can put them on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Swapped the wheels front to back, back to front and now the vibration is in the steering wheel. Hopefully that means a balance job only.
Simple stuff first...simple stuff first...simple stuff first...........
Will try to get that taken care of this week. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for that post, Mark. I must've missed that one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Sold it when I found my LE going on three years ago. Was still in the area up until last summer/fall when it headed south to a flipper. Glad to see it in a good home again.

Lol, I think there are several LEOs here that own 914s. Philip is right, it's your neighbor that's complaining about your car. Cops usually don't know if a car is abandoned or even do anything about it unless they get a complaint.
