Wish I had a rotisserie, and a heated shop I started epoxy painted when the weather was nice and warm now I might have to wait a month or two for it to get that nice and warm again! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

But I have lots of other stuff to do like chop, weld front trunk channels, upper wheel house, engine tray, batt tray, and redo fuel and gas lines on engine.

I detailed it, wax, and replace my rear tires from 225-50x16 to 245x50x16
not a big difference, but i needed new tires. fronts have less than 2000 miles on them.
then took it to see an old friend.
I am ready for Hershey

Just got car back in time to drive this last weekend. First nice Spring weekend in Ohio. I had an oil cooler installed by Auto Assets in Powell, Ohio, just north of Columbus. Great shop owned by Chip Vance. Chip races a 914-6. The body shop next door, Yoke's Body Shop, is owned by Paul Yoakum. They cut the hole in the bumper and modified the lower valance to match up with the flares.

Also tuned it up, new valve covers, etc. Anyway, it runs great. Thermostat kicks in at 180. Never saw anything above that, but it's still not hot out. I am happy to have my baby back!!

Well I just painted my rear coil before installing it on my new shock. Other one is done. The Cruel Mistress is finally on the road to reassembly. After blowing a tranny bearing 4 yrs ago. 5 states away from my present abode. Just a little hellhole repair (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) and a couple minor upgrades. Really nothing for you guys with money and a nice shop. Or enough money to take it to a shop. Lucky for me. My son is a Porsche tech. And manages an independent Porsche shop. Now if I could only get him to work on the car for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) It's enough that I got a really good deal on some restoration design stuff though. Maybe this thing will be running by the end of the summer. If I leave the front end alone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

Looking to adding another 044 Bosch fuel pump and am looking for a large amp switched power source. I am thinking of using the relay that would normally run the heater fan or the relay for the rear window defogger. Both are switched circuits with relays. So i played around with the voltage meter to find the terminals off the relay board.

Jeremy and I demolished a stucco wall so our mason could complete the brick work on our front porch. After the pilasters were rebuilt, we reinstalled a temporary facade to keep all the nocturnal critters out. Several days later, the brick work is looking better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The wife is happy with the house progress, so she granted me a few days to goof off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

On Kent's (76-914) recommendation, I called BOBCO Metals in downtown LA. They quoted a great price on some 1/8", 2"x2" aluminum angle and 2" flat plate. This stuff will support the new ceiling in my 'PORSCHE' trailer. We got all the side angle supports installed and the ceiling installed the 'V' nose section today.

Attached Image

Hoping to get the rest of the ceiling installed by this week end.

Nice birthday gift (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

On Friday, I got to drive the 'BB' out of the shop (to get to at the sheets of 4x8 luan paneling for the trailer), and got to drive it back in several hours later. Ahhh, the upside rewards of owning a [running] 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yesterday I bled the brakes and took out a fair amount of air. It's tighter today, but still some softness to go. Ahhh, break-in time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Also installed angle drive and got speedo working (THANKS RON!), though it's roughly 10% off (too high), as expected. Like that's gonna keep me from getting a ticket at all ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

Oh, and added about another 100 miles, just in town and backroads outside of town. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
