Cleaned the windshield and then went on a petrol burn with Nolan. We stopped to toss rocks into the lake on Hicks Rd. Perfect 75 degree weather in San Jose today .

Finishing up the installation of a nice used set of late model SSI stainless steel heat exchangers with all new gaskets and exhaust stud nuts. Also installing a new muffler hanger which I never got around to when I installed the Manta Monza Replica exhaust on the old girl a few years back.

Prep work for the new driveway (so I can park a 914 on it) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Rebar goes in on Monday, so I need to get the rest of the underground conduits buried this w/e (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Should be doing the pour on Tuesday or Wednesday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Attached Image

Afterthought ... maybe I should go another foot wider so we can park two, side by side (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

We backdated a pair of MSD Blaster coils this week. Getting ready for an ignition overhaul.

Those look awesome! What color is that top area? Is there a source to get those decals?

Those look great! Did you have those sent off to get plated or did you do it yourself?

It's starting to look like a car again. Rear suspension and brakes are in place. Gratuitous pics of CFR & PMB goodness.

I am really disappointed I wont be able to use the Nascar wheels. The looked so cool on the front of the car. They don't fit the rear at all.

Hey Mike,

The paint is Rustoleum and made for plastic. It's Cinnamon and satin.

I walked between my real car and my conversion car on my way through the garage to leave the house.
Looked at the 915 shafts I'll be adding new dogs, rings and sliders to next week.
For my 916 trans !!!

Tried to do a job that should have been two hours tops putting the axels back in. Over flexed both going in and the jounts popped apart (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) what a mess cleaning all the grease and putting them back together and I still only got the passenger side installed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) The classic one step forward - two steps back. I admit defeat for the day and I'm going to sit back and have a Jack-n-coke (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif)

Went to the shop to pick up a drill motor, so I got to at least look at the cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Installed the last of the underground conduits on my current remodel project. The driveway and front porch get poured tomorrow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

I've decided to once again try and sell off my Mercedes project to devote time/money to my 914 6 conversion project.
Does that count?

Nathan, posts some pics of the 280C. Gotta love old Mercs.

OK, here it goes...if anyone know's anyone interested, the proceeds will go to my 914 conversion :D

admins: let me know if this should go somewhere else...

Do you still have that MBZ for sale?
