what did you do to your 914 today?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

- Got a new battery
- Fixed the broken tranny ground strap
- Installed LED gauges
- Rinsed off 4 weeks of dust and bird poop
- Drove her to work for the second day in a row

Few things...

- Rebuilt and reinstalled both front Wilwood calipers, installed new front rotors and bearings.
- sanded the rear brake pads to get rid of a howl
- Bled the whole system
- Replaced a shorted switch in my DVR circuit. It's good to have the cameras working again.
- Wired in the fog lights
- Rewired the headlights
- Fixed the indexing of the steering wheel extension so the turn signals work properly now.
- Cleaned more of the eternal glass-bead remnants out of my shifter... Gads, I'm never gonna be rid of it completely.
- Set up a new gear-stack for an AX transaxle.
- Fiberglassing the broken front spoiler as we speak

She'll be ready for a two week trip starting Saturday. Not a big trip, maybe 800 miles give or take. Fishing at Toledo Bend! The bass won't know what hit 'em.

Drove it to Bank, Library, Post office and friends house just to bed the new porterfield brakes but was not able to do Eric's instruction because I drove only about 2 miles from freeway and mostly side streets. Also happy that I only got maximum 230 degrees F on my temperature (using thermo dipstick) which is at 1:00 o'clock in my temp. gauge (thermo gauge with small red warning).

Was going to work on the car but neither furnaces would fire up (first time this season). Found a corroded high pressure switch terminal on one, onto the other.

Someone installed an Engman long kit on my car last week???
Door gaps are perfect!

Sad to put it on cause it felt like the end of an era. But I figure Mark is smiling every time someone installs one of his products!!! Your legacy lives on brother.. RIP and thanks for all the great designs! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Installed a custom set of /4 straight pipe headers that have a 911/914-6 single hole exhaust flange. Then using a modified 911 banana muffler with the single outlet welded up and two center outlets welded on. Sounds AMAZING!! supper happy with it, top end performance feels much better.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i1293.photobucket.com-14538-1379392315.1.jpg)

Later on, i will try the megaphones that Ethan had in his video a few posts up, its gonna be loud (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Hi David,

Just wondering sir, is this exhaust pipe used to be a heat exchanger that you just remove the tin? Thank you and God Bless!

Looking good!
I'm miles behind ya, still in the air. Hope to have mine on the ground in the next few days, and off to the paint shop.

Been driving her to work all week. The car hasn't seen that much daily driving in years.

I brought the 'BB' home a couple of weeks ago and planned to take it for a drive on 9/14, but when I went to start it on Saturday afternoon ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) ... fookin' battery was dead (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

So today, I finally got around to sticking a charger on it.

Guess I should drive it more often ... or at least start it up every now and then, eh? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I have not quite decided yet. If I stay with a factory color, it will go back to it's original Light Ivory. If not (which I am leaning towards a color change), then it will be something I have never seen on a 914 before.

Picking colors is a PITA.... but fun... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
