Installed bilstein rear shocks and brown interior from my 74 1.8 FI parts car or possible save the car in the future. Drove it about 12 miles with 7 miles freeway running between 65 to 80 mph (just following the flow of other vehicles) to return coil spring tool borrowed from pepboys.

QUOTE(76-914 @ Sep 25 2013, 05:20 PM) *
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) What the Hell. You opening a garage and hiring too! Or was the other lift too tall for you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I thought I replied to this yesterday, but guess I forgot to hit the 'GO' button (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) ... I can work under the 4-post all day without hitting my noggin once, thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

The mid-rise lift will come in quite handy for rebuilding suspension systems (have a 'few' to do). Got the '67 bug on it right now ... looks like it'll work nicely for engine swaps too - at least for tail draggers - and the price was right (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hit the 'BB' with the 'California Duster' and drove it around to do a few errands yesterday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Went to drive her to work yesterday AM, and all of a sudden the revs shot up!!! Key off, coast to the side of the road. Thankfully, very close to home still.

Throttle return springs on the carb side are ok. Something seems to be hanging up in the pedal area. Going to have a look a little later today. Guessing one of the following:

1) carpet interference
2) cable is fraying/failing
3) problem with the cluster (i sure hope not)

Anyone else had this problem?

I would look at the throttle pivot under the pedal!

Mine broke and bent it sticking on full throttle!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I thought about mine. Sitting, waiting, being pushed in and out of Original Customs when it is in the way... Maybe next week after my work rotation I can go down and work on it...

I took out the gas tank out to cut the fuel hose a bit. It appears when I installed SS fuel lines I left too much fuel hose underneath the gas tank - kink city.

Once I cut the hose and verified that there was fuel coming out the engine compartment hooked the pump turned the ignition and gas started to squirt out.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) I am getting closer to getting her started.

Replaced two pulled exhaust studs. Thanks to MBlizzard for the helicoil kit and drill bit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
Of course, fix one thing, break something else - broke two of the muffler bolts removing them and also noticed one end of the muffler hanger has broken off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Checked out the damage my wife did to the rear trunk. The car has been on the lift for two years over in the third bay. Today she decided to wash the windows in the garage and put the door up. Dragged on the rear trunk!
I'm sure it's all my fault anyways.
