Since it's been raining pitchforks and billygoats up here since Fall descended, I gave up and plugged in the battery maintainer.

Drove the 'BB' to my auto shop class this evening (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I had a hard time getting into 1st gear tonight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ...it was fine the last time I drove it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

New Tangerine spherical firewall bushing and impregnated bronze bushing at the console and only 800 miles on the new drive train. Hoping its just a simple linkage adjustment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Replaced my faded to almost white seat belt press sticklers with new orange/red ones that a 914World member sells. Very cheap, easy, and simple job which I like! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

QUOTE(bulitt @ Oct 1 2013, 05:50 PM) *

Checked out the damage my wife did to the rear trunk. The car has been on the lift for two years over in the third bay. Today she decided to wash the windows in the garage and put the door up. Dragged on the rear trunk!
I'm sure it's all my fault anyways.

That's a bummer.

Sent her to the grave yard... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Chassis had be cut in half, new middle section of different 914 welded in, then patched to hell with bondo everywhere, such a shame, she was originally an Aubergine color special order car, but the rust got the best of her.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/scontent-b-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net-1110-1380840572.1.jpg)

Lot's of "metal (filler)" in some places! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I loaded it up on a trailer and hauled it to our new house in Rocklin. Broke the front bumper mount loading it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) . Now I have a three stall garage to work on it in. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Picked it up after getting the master brake cylinder replaced. Now it brakes like a new car. Legendary!

My LE hasn't been cranked in 3 or 4 months so I stuck the battery charger on it for a couple of hours, cycled the fuel pump and hit the key.....fired right up and purred like a kitten. Sure wish I knew who built that engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
