Blasted my banana (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) muffler at auto shop class this evening. Hoping to get some heat paint on it this week end and installed on the 'BB' shortly afterwards (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Put my dash back together last night. Working a little bit at a time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Who did your leather/stitched dash? Looks good!

Btw today I tallied up the price of parts on my car...yikes.

Had a local guy do it. Took him a couple of attempts to get it that good. It's not perfect but better than the cracked up pad it used to be. Said he never wanted to see one again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I know he could have done even better, but this was small potatoes and he didn't charge me much so......
The bottom dash came out great and it's a nice touch to have the stitching modernize the look. There's a couple of extra pics in my resto thread

Washed down the previously sanded down underside of the car, and painted with Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator. Next up Undercoating.

Picked up the OEM muffler from Finishline Coatings this morning. Double ceramic coating. Very happy with the results. Excited to get it mounted tonight. Before/after pic:

Looks great! I did the same thing with my LS1 exhaust manifolds, and was super-pleased with the results. Rusty cast iron is a real eyesore.

What did they charge you to coat it?

I had to drive up to Cedars Sinai Hospital in West LA yesterday. All the freeways were boogered up, so it was surface streets - up and back ... and a lot of shifting gears (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Need to adjust the clutch cable a little more.

In getting ready for the track tomorrow, I replaced a wheel speed sensor, washed it, and put never wet on the seat. Tomorrow I'll drive it like I stole it.

I finally got my car back on the road this afternoon. I had some fuel injection woes and think I finally solved it. Fingers Crossed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Went for a ride, filled the tank with Gas/Stabil, & filled the tires @ 45 lbs. pressure & pulled the cover on, patted the fender and said see you in the spring.

I was tasked with sanding some baseboards for the kitchen today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ... however, I finished that chore in record time, and had enough 'spare time' to finish-sand a banana muffler that I blasted on Tuesday night (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Attached Image

Hope to get the baseboards AND the banana painted tomorrow

I installed a third seat seat belt so that my kids and I can all go together on shot weekend trips around town. The giggles per mile were off the charts!
