Spare key, got it. I just have to reach over and unlock the driver's door from the passenger side for the time being (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Finished sanding and painting the rocker panels (DupliColor # DE1634 low-gloss black)

... and painted the rear valance (Blue Magic #950 Black Textured Rubber Coating)

We'll have to see if they get installed this week end ...

I called the tuner. They have been fiddling with my car off and on all week. They were bolting it to the dyno getting ready to tune... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Hopefully it will be ready tomorrow with a dyno sheet! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

They did nothing today... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The shop is getting ready for SEMA and they are totally backed up.

Looks like I might get my car back next week... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Started to fit the new and used parts received from our members. Fitting seals, front fiberglass bumper, and rock guards to start with and will continue fitting in the rubber seals. Starting to look like a car after the Barstow theft.

And the problem with that number is?

Mark: I think it comes with a 2.5 six, if I read the thread correctly.

Today I'm going to install a new gas tank. It's a 6 gallon, which is up from the 2.5 gal for autocrossing.

This car is going to The Tropical Ramble…

Sweet! Don't forget to drain it. You may want to crack all the nuts lose to make disassembly quicker at the Docs. You will have a blast.

Neat trick, Doug - turning a straight stretch of road into a twisty with the push of a button (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Well, apparently, I misplaced the hardware for the rocker panels, so that didn't get done ... just a mock-up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Attached Image

By the way, a mid-rise lift isn't the best tool for working on rockers ... will need to vie for some time on the 4-post for this task (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

... but I did get the rear valance installed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Michael-
how does the middle seat work out with the cops? no seat belt? or you have one?

curious--I got a 9 year old that I would love to take with me and wife, but concern to run into a ticket…

So in the engine compartment there is this old crusty sticker that states that the seating position is 2+1 . I am not sure what years came with the center seat option but I would guess that the early cars with the fixed passenger seat did. The down side is that the center seat is only a lap belt and not a 3 point belt. As far as legal, I think I am fine in CA as there is a belt in the factory location.
