Replaced my 40 year old cowling to fender seals that were hard as a rock and had shrunk. Sorry about that George Costanza!

Good thing I pull them because there was a little surface rust that I treated and painted.

Got them from Auto Atlanta and the set only cost $4.00.

Easy upgrade and fix.

Drove it to my chiropractor appointment this AM. On the way there, some schmuck in a Mustang in the adjacent lane thought that they had some really hot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) at one stop signal ... taught them otherwise at the next one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Decided to re-stain the wood in my center console a little darker. With another sanding session and some clear coat, I'm gonna call this one done. I still need to make the vertical piece for the small gauges.

Attached Image

Also, installed a stretch of 8AWG wiring from the battery to the dash area and installed a new dual-band VHF/UHF Amateur (HAM) radio (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yes, they are Cocomats! Color is taracota and black. . I also just put a set in my boxster(gold/black to match my speed yellow car)

The door panels I made by using the originals as a template, stained burled wood plywood a cherry.
They fit nice but I never figuredd out how to trim them out to look nice
.
Right now they are not in the car. I put in a new set of panels with fiberglass cores from morph.

Looks good! Normally I'm not a fan of colored rings on the gauges, but the way you did it is pretty tasteful. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

Went to Pick and Pull in Stockton to see if there was anything on this red 1976 914 that I could use. Vin #4762902667 that came out of Napa in the late 80's. Old registration was still in the car.

I then went over to my mom's house and changed the tarp for the winter and took some photos of a Creamcicle roller I have stored.

I was fortunate to pick up a [T H O M A S] rebuilt side shift 901 from Garrett at the G&R today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ... Gonna go in Dianne's '71 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving-girl.gif)

Hey, the front valance looks good on that '76, Mike (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

I should get my butt out to some of the local yards down here ... maybe I can find a decent rear targa pad for a good price (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Valance was dented (creased) but definitely repairable. This was my first experience with a "premier" Pick and Pull. Prices seemed doubled.

Drove it..and drove it..and drove it. 700 mile trip, and just got home from it. Was a great time, and the car ran great the entire way. The 6 conversion has definetely made the car more driveable than the old 4 banger.. the car seems more subdued over the bumps, and just way smoother to drive. (Makes the girlfriend happy on the long drives)

Worked on my new engine that I purchased from a fellow here. Getting the motor ready to put in my car. MPS is good but can't find a serial # on the ECU to verify if it matches with other. Dizzy drive gear was pointing way off so now corrected. Passenger side engine tin has a cut out for A/C so I removed it to replace.

BTW, does anybody know the size of this long stud?? Found out one of the studs needs rethreading.

Thanks in advance,
