Replaced pedal bushings with bronze kit.

I have records for this car going back to '74 and they had never been
replaced. The condition was amazingly good for ~44 years. MC probably
never leaked in there, but still, I could have left these alone. The only
issues were caused by removal.

Mrs. Claus and I took the 'BB' for a drive to some friends' for a Christmas Eve get together. It's the first time she's been in the car in a long time.

She thought it was still that old junk car she bought me for Christmas back in 2006 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Punched the go pedal when it was safe to do so, and she said where's the grab handles! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yikes.gif)

... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Took it out for a little spin this evening too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

HotShoe, tell me you didn't Drive to Colorado & Hershey with this!. Really a Zip-Tie on the Throttle Linkage! You need to go the 914World corner for a Time-Out! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Yeah... I found that when trying to tune TC's carbs. There is a lot of slop in the linkage currently, which makes it basically pointless to try and tune. I need to spend some time with it to see what I can improve.

Anyhow, yesterday I finally decided to start testing my SSIs that I got on Ebay last year. Used two rubber plugs and drilled one for a valve stem. Added water to the pipe, then hooked up my cheapo 12v compressor. Results: only one pipe holds air currently. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

The good news is that on the ones that were leaking, the leaks were visible outside of the HE portion. Mostly small cracks around the top of the portion that bolts to the heads. Should be able to file then and fill with a few short welds.

I put in a new radio antenna. Went from a crappy one that only allowed me to get one, sometimes two radio stations, to a new powered antenna now I get every station I want.

Actually drove it for the first time in 5 weeks. We had rain, which washed away the salt, so I took her out. Then I swapped out the targa bar pad for the one in the parts car. Immaculate, split free.

Then I went to happy hour at a neighbors home.

So here i am, contemplating some MJ shooooooz yo

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) Nice Christmas present (IMG:style_emoticons/default/santa_smiley.gif)

Colin (colingreene) and his dad stopped by the shop and grabbed a set of 2L heads.

Later, a radio bud (Fred) came by and we dropped the motor out of the bug. Need to deal with a leaking rear main seal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

... then we went through about 20 boxes of Honda Mini Trail parts. Sorted and took a mental inventory. Have about 10 or 15 more boxes to go through (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Plumbed return for gas lines, installed fuel regulator, plumbed some vacuum hoses and capped off unused ports. Built bracket for clutch and fuel lines. Routed clutch slave line.
Received radiator and put the car on jack stands...again. But this time in preparation to put in the radiator.
Next finish rear brakes and clutch

Drove it down to New Almaden on some cool roads to meet up with a fellow member. Got spotted by matthepcat on my way there... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hi Matt!

Got a check engine light and the car was over boosting, cutting fuel. I think I have a bad wastegate solenoid... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I moved the fuel pump on my 73 to the trunk year's ago. Yesterday I finished running the fuel pump wiring along the harness through the tunnel. The wiring used to be along the A/C lines along the rocker. I removed the A/C as part of my restoration.
