Took delivery of these! Props to Chris at tangerine racing for hooking me up with these. All the rest of my brake and suspension parts are here so I should have a productive weekend!

Took the 'BB' off the charger and took it out for a quick spin around town. Stopped at a bud's BMW repair shop and shot the shit for a while. Asked him to keep his eyes open for a nice 2002tii for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Need to run by a local VW parts house to pick up some flywheel shims for the '67 Bug ... I think I'll drive the 914 since the weather is so nice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Pulled the RCI fuel tank to replace with an FIA compliant fuel cell.

Anyone need a 15 gallon plastic fuel tank that looks like a fuel cell?

Cleaned up the door latch mechanism. Before and after only about 3 min of scrubbing with a nylon brush.

Replaced 2 fuses after knocking them out. Got my headlights to work again. Drove and looked like a grinning idiot.

Stopped at a local VW shop and chatted about T-1 stuff with the owner for a while. Found out he knows some of my old VW buds from back in the 70's. Also found out one of my good friends from the 'Bug-In' days died about 15 years ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Removed some polished EMPI wheels with 165s from my wife's car (they're in the classifieds) and replaced them with some 5.5" stock steelies. This is a temporary transition, as I loaded up another set of freshly powder-coated wheels and new 195/65 tires to take to my auto shop tomorrow (we have a SNAP-ON tire changing machine and high-speed balancing machine there) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I need to replace a leaking wheel cylinder on the '67 Bug, but I can't bust the damn lug bolts loose - even with PB Blaster and an air-impact gun! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Added one of McMark's Master Cylinder braces. Fit like a glove, although in my case did not change the feel of my brakes. I suppose I didn't have much flex to start with.

The engine paneling is finished. As well as all other parts heating pipes u.s.w.
I am waiting now on the new engine which is currently under construction.
The motor in the picture is an old engine and served only to customize the new paneling.
