Installed my new driving lights that arrived from Camp 914.

Now I'm just waiting for Spoke's front LED bulbs and I'll be good to go.
The rear LED's are just stunning.
I am switching to Euro front lenses. The running light design is too cool

So bright... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

Do those mount to the existing brackets and center well in the fog light grilles?

Craig adds a SS bracket that goes right back in same the hole.

Picked up a set of rear trailign arm bushings from Clint at Rebel Racing. Can't wait to put them in and eliminate the squeeeeekkkkkking and creeeeekkking from the trailing arms.

Looks like I need to order some new grills from Mark.
I think they fit real nice. I left just loose enough I can adjust them with both hands.

Got most of the fleet tucked away for the night. Back at it tomorrow
One day ill work out how to rotate photos on my phone sorry

With the threat of rain on Saturday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ... I installed Perry's Umbrella Cover, just for good measure (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

Talked with my friend Randy from Automeister (not Motor Scheister) ... discussed some performance upgrades to the stock wasser-boxer in the Westfalia (in lieu of a Subi conversion) while retaining smog requirement compliance. Also, gonna drop it off next week for some minor maintenance (leaking rear main seal, compression check and performance tune). I might have them install a set of taller Go-Westy springs I bought a few months ago too (1-1/2" lift) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I pulled my tranny out to see if I could figure out why my rear locked up on me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) at 65-ish mph (great fun doing two 180's and a full 360 across the oncoming lane, only damage was about 3000 burned up Milage on those rear tires).

Got the tranny out and this is what I saw...

Here is a closer look...

So I'm looking for another tranny case. And once I can get inside I'll know what else is needed. I'm glad we have Dr Evil around to help out! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

What did I do to my 914 today? I bought it...

I thought picking it up would be the highlight of my day, but 5 miles or so down the road we stopped to fill the kids with some KFC. As we got out of the tow vehicle, a guy in a (sweat) Datsun 240Z caught me and asked permission to take a photo of my 914. I hadn't owned it for 10 minutes yet; it made my day.

I'll be trolling here for a while. I anticipate making slow progress on the car (with 4 kids I don't have much "ME" time!)

Please take lots of photos of your install. There is very little information on their web site

Whoa, that must have been great "fun." Thank goodness the tires (and the tranny itself) were the only casualties. Let us know what the root cause ends up being (and whether you had to swap your shorts after).

Yesterday I decided to take the wife on an after rain cruise in Marin County. What a blast!

Marin Headlands with the Golden Gate Bridge back drop.
