Driving all over town. Last Wednesday picked up two 911 engine cases from Bearing Services downtown. One in the frunk, one on the passenger floor.

Completed the installation of the Engman manual trunk release today. That was an excellent kit; everything fit right and it went in smoothly. Big thanks to Stratplayer for the kit, I really like it ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Now to find a new home for my electric rear trunk solenoid and rear reflector

Used her like a pick up truck. 85 miles all over PDX with the top off.
Dyno driveline to North PDX for new u/cv joints.
Made an attempt to find a floor jack repair service. Building was empty. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
A couple trips to hose store for stuff.

By the time the day was done the exhaust was getting a bit loud.............. I welded up a crack before WCR. Lifts were full a Rothsport so I brought it home and put the rear end on jackstands and off the Bursch came. It had a hole about the size of a pop can top.
Just so happens I have a spare and swapped it out................ back in bidness.
Super In Law and I are heading to Forest Grove this am. Open air motoring.

I recently painted mine whilst installing a reservoir for the hydraulic clutch conversion - wasn't as rusty as yours though.

Noel dropped off a 2L SS HE here this morning and I got to check out his Boxter.

Still looking for a passenger-side SS 2L HE (hint) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

Also purchased a Rennshifter for the 'BB' (thanks, Steve) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif)

With the weather being so nice and warm, washed the Ghia ... then stuck a cover back on it, so the local birds can't shit all over it again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I cleaned the gearbox and fitted the new drive shaft flange seals. Also fitted new thrust bearing. The engine is now in the garage so i fitted the new clutch, no chance of it flash rusting in the garage.

Almost ready to join the engine and 'box and fit it. i think it will be the first time in 22 years the car has had an engine in it!

Put it on the lift in prep for pre-RRC maintenance. I'll actually start working on it at 5AM tomorrow when it's only 90F. It just hit 100F at 10AM on its way to 113F. On a way cooler note; we just returned from ten days in the pines at Flagstaff and the code to our vacation rental was 0914.

I had the day off work so I gathered up my two kids and headed down the PCH from Monterey to Big Sur and over the Bixby Bridge.

Took the wife for a 25 mile tour on the back roads in perfect weather. This was the first drive since buying the car 12 years ago that everything worked the way it should with only one minor exception, at 25, the speedo Needle would quickly bounce up to 30 and the settle back at 25. When going 30+ not an issue. Since even small issues drive me crazy, this drive was simply great. Of course if the speedo continues to do this, off to the shop, but I'm smiling now.
