Went to Cars and Coffee and was one of two 914's / Steve was the other.

Then stopped by Keith914's 914 conversion in progress. He may be awarded the fastest conversion from a 4 to a 2.7 in the history of conversions. From acquisition of the motor, then the carbs, then the headers, then,....well you get the idea........... Nice build underway and maybe tomorrow is startup. Unbelievable what he can get done in a few weeks.

The dark gun metal color looks good on your white car.
How the tires feel on the road?

I took my original paint 76 to Leamon to get the smog and turn single relay wiring sorted out.

AAA tow was $280. After my free hook up and 6 miles. I guess I should pay for their 200-mile tow package for $49. More. I have to be a member as I have them for car
(Not Porsche), house, earthquake Ins.

Only a couple spots could I feel the taller sidewall. But all in all really pretty nice. Thanks.
Next time I'll run the really twistys on the back way from/to Newberg. Lots of 90 degree farm corners.

These tires and wheels were going to go on Doug's car, but he went another direction.
My gain. I've always wanted a set of Mini Lights.

I was thinking on Saturday we probably had the most 914's being worked on in one
place . Got pretty noisy at times (air tools).

Gary, that 2002 Livery came out sharp, he's got tons of ground clearance with our MSDS short tube BMW header (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) We were hanging out in the Alfa Romeo row , new Alfa Giulia QV 505hp sedan in the stable .

Mark, those wheels on your black 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) "ATS" right ¿

Hey Marty ... yes, and they need some TLC too. Got them from a roller that Garold acquired several years ago.

I should have bead-blasted them before mounting tires on them - the paint on them is from a PO, and flaking badly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

I had to have one of them straightened. Went to two shops in the LAX South Bay area, but both said they couldn't do it.

Attached Image

Found a shop in Santa Ana that did a great job, although a bit more expensive than I was expecting. Still happy with the results.

Adjusted the valves on my 2.0L. Was having problems with backfiring and once I adjusted the valves it went away. Intake = .006 and Exhaust = .008

All 4 cylinder exhaust valves were to tight and #1 cylinder intake needed adjustment.
