I didn't actually do anything to it but I received quite a few new parts. Some of which will be fitted tomorrow.

I never did fit any of the bits as below took up most of the day.

Got my new welder set up and made correct fitting engine brackets. Once these were finished and painted I refit the engine and fit the fan housing. After being let down by a seller and attempted to be ripped off by another, I fabricated one side engine tinware based on off the 411/412 tins that came with the engine.

I tried out the fitting of the new alternator but found fitment issues so that's back out to make a gasket to stop the shorting. Once that's in I can make a new harness for it.

Was hoping to get the motor spun today but that's waiting for another day.

I'd like one too for 2.3 if you're thinking of making these. Let me know!

Took the 914 to Cars & Coffee in La Canada up in the foothills. This is a well attended event every Saturday with a huge variety of cars. There were three 914s including myself & 7T Porsch.

A new day. Just completed the install of the Jonesy tuna can sump. Oil pressure issues solved. Thanks to all who have previously done this. Your info was a great help and solved my oil pressure issues. Took a big load off my mind. I would recommend this fix to anyone that has oil pressure issues to an otherwise healthy engine.

Checking fuel lines to see the pressure and as I opened a line a gush of fuel hit my face. I was blind and it was funny garage moment. So if you are reading this I probably still smell like gasoline.
