^ better placement of those lights.

Need to cut down the bolt and add a hex cap nut or nut cover.

started pulling tin off the motor to put new on, working on freshening up the upper motor compartment with new tin, other bits like intake runners, new 123ignition distributor, etc etc, all this while waiting on the body and paint- car was stripped last week and is now in primer! - posted a few pictures last night on my progress thread.

Drove across the desert from the coast to AZ this day.

Unpacked the SUV and settled in my cat / then uncovered the 914. Two+ weeks of leaves and dust and grime are now thereon / Tomorrow AM the little critter gets fired up and we will take a run up a mountain road or two. maybe catch up with Euro 911

pix to follow.

Merry Christmas

Put Carerror on the scale. Thinking that she would be lucky to be sub 1700. When I got the scales hooked up the first numbers I read were sub 1550. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Till I looked at the car. Covers and fuel. So I got a laugh out of me...
Put the covers on and fuel in. 1609# and I am smiling.

Needs passenger seat and the seatbelts. Gas tank could take another half gallon.

Many reasons, I have a daughter that's 3 years old now...so I had to get the house ready (built a basement bathroom and refinished the whole basement, along with other stuff like a nursery/bedroom etc).

This past year I've been rapidy accumulating parts and sent the engine out for rebuild/case work (takes long when you don't pay the rush/convenience fees). Have most everything done/bought, just need to get it all together once the engine is done.

Body work done, with the GT fibreglass bits fitted and finished off to fit a little better. Car comes home now to strip the rest of paint in prep for new paint. It's sitting high as its engineless...

Not to mention the diversion of funds for the payments on your daughter's new Boxter, right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

Chick-ster...please, even she wanted a 918 Spyder (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) matches my 914 color and bought it from a friend that works for a local Porsche dealer. Glad someone got a new Porsche with a bill of sale (I sure can’t afford a new Porsche)
