Someone is selling this as a 76 914 trans.

I dont think so.
Anyone know what it is?

Definitely NOT a 914 tranny, but they claim it was supposed to go in one.

I think they are smoking something (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Looking at pix I Googled, it doesn't look much like a Boxster tranny. Probably VW/Audi FWD.

dlee6204,

you nailed it.

It is a A4 tranny.
Is that any use to us? Very Cheap!
I am guessing that I can get it for what the case scrap is worth.

Hey (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

A 10 lb sledgehammer, a come-a-long and it'll fit a Teener.

Only usefull if you're doing a WC audi engine conversion. Boxster shifter bolts right up, axle solutions aren't that bad. Almost any audi engine in the past 20 years will fit to it.

$300+ minimum on evilbay if you want to turn and burn it.

Ok, next:

What should I pay for two trailing arms with 5-lug spindles?

How about a "unknown condition" tailshifter?

I am considering a package deal of two 5-lug trailing arms and the tailshifter together.

Same person as the A4 tranny (anyone want that?).
