how do I test a starter before installing it? Don't want to burn it out, so which poles exactly.
on the subject, I want to wire a temporary starter switch in the engine bay for first startup and testing. Where do I run the leads for that? thanks, dr |

From bat charger or bat - hook ground to body of starter.
- hook hot lead to top of solenoid large pole - use screwdriver to jump hot lead on solenoid to spade terminal next to it. Solenoid will engage, kick bendix drive out and motor will spin. |
