I am doing a custom install of Wilwood Dynalite II calipers and 309mm x 32mm rotors.

How much space (radial) is needed between the caliper and the rotor?

Thanks

Eddie

As long as the rotor does not hit the hat (body) of the caliper you should be good to go.

Porsche seems to use roughly 2mm as the rule. When the rotor heats up it can and will expand. We had a member here years back that had this issue. He was in Europe and after he got going a bit, he had a grinding that just got worse the longer he drove the car. Turns out his rotor was a 6 rear rotor on a 4 and as he drove and warmed it up it began to rub, as it rubbed it heated up more until it finally ground him to a halt.
