Nice sunny day, took some more pics.
(IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/914nice.JPG) Little Green Machine finally comes home (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/914side.JPG) 914 & younger brother Boxster (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/front2.JPG) 914 looks seven-eighths scale next to Boxster (and 1000 pounds lighter). (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/front3.JPG) Which one do I drive today? (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/rear2.JPG) Boxster looks a bit J-Lo next to 914 (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/914back.JPG) Burned off most of the muffler paint during emissiosn testing. Will have to get some hi-temp paint on there or go for the ceramic coating. (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/914enginebay02.JPG) Sorry, best pic I could get of Jake's amazing engine with the bright sun this morning. (IMG:http://www.hifidesign.com/studio_ftp/hifi_uploads/914pics/914oilcooler.JPG) Pretty good shot of the front mounted oil cooler install. I have yet to see more than halfway on the temp gauge. I plan on doing a custom front "floor-board" with original style carpets & a Boxster spare & jack mounted vertical. Should be trick. |

QUOTE(acox914 @ Aug 25 2004, 09:40 AM) i like the way you used the tubing instead of the gt shroud. makes it seem a little easier to do.... According to patrick Motorsports more air-flow & venting to brakes helps too. So far no complaints as oil temps have been a-ok. |

Hi_Fi_Guy,
Welcome to the teener side of the Marque. Now there is another nice streetable 914 in Phoenix area. Too many around here are stripped down for AutoX, and one rarely sees them on the streets. I'm in NE Phoenix if you're ever interested in getting together. There are several teeners in Tucson we can gather with as well if interested - including Guy's V8 - too cool! If that's a Jake Raby motor - I'd sure like to see & hear it some time. Go easy on me if you see my 2.0 Ravenna on the streets. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Enjoy! |

Yep, its one of mine...
BUT when you check it out remember that it's been 3 years since it was born... I have updated that 2270 so much in 3 years that it is about 20% more powerful now than it was then.... Then it was great as Hi Fi Guy will see when he buries the tach the first time, BUT now its even better. New advancements and new head technology is outdating my engines as fast as computer technology....LOL |
