I remember when i was younger that in Park City, Utah there was a porsche gathering on labor day. All the porsche's would drive down park city main street in the parade. Does anyone know what happened? Is there any 914 meetings in utah, colorado, arizona, idaho, or nevada?

thanks,
Josh

The Intermountain Region of the PCA is very active.
http://vista.pca.org/int/
Check with them for meetings and events in your area.
They sponsor a race in Vegas every year. The members I have met are all very nice.

Don't know about any porsche events in Park City, but as soon as Eric Shea gets his 6 on the road, we plan a trip up to park city. The more 914's the better.

Josh,

Provo huh..
thats cool...
I've got friends that live in Provo.

Once upon a time there was discussion about a utah group getting together with our colorado group...

I'd definitely like to do this some time...
I'll remain open minded as to the when/where/ and planning in general.

Wanna take the reins?

The six just came alive... now all I need are updated plates.

Jim... let's talk about getting this thing to Ed.

Josh, I'm the editor for the Intermountain Regions Zeitung magazine. I don't recall the Park City cruise in the 8 years that I've been here. We do have a “CONCOURS D’ÉLÉGANCE" up there every September/October now though. I don't have any dates for this years event yet.

As Jim (Stratplayer) mentioned, we're good to go on a PC cruise. I need to get the emmissions test done and get some current plates on this beast and away we go...

If you guys can't wait then you'll have to give me a ride. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif)

Here's a list of current events:

Driving Events

• 9/11 - 12 Wendover Weekend - Wendover Airport Runway

• 9/17 - 20 World of Speed - Salt Flats

• 10/3 Davis County Fair Park Autocross

• 10/10 Last Autocross – Harman Music Group (90th and I15)

Want to try autocrossing this year? You still have a few opportunities to come out and join the fun.

Social Events

September 26th Nebo Loop Tour. There will be a mini social to follow place to be announced. Meet at Bennett’s BBQ restaurant parking lot at South Towne Mall 10600 S. 200 W. at 10:00 AM. This is a spectacular scenic drive.

October 9th Motorsport Tech Session. 12:00 Noon. This session will discuss servicing your Porsche’s braking system. The inspection procedures will identify problematic brake discs, pads, fluid, and master cylinders. They will also discuss how to adjust the Porsche parking brake systems and how to replace problematic parking brake cables. Refreshments and snacks will be provided for all guests. 2128 South Richards Street, So. Salt Lake City 801-487-6733.

October 17th Bear Lake Tour. There will be a mini social to follow place to be announced.

Here's a link to my friend's tour site. He runs Boxster tours throughout the state. This is an upcoming Moab tour. Jack Brittain is the Dean if the Eccles Business School at the U of U. You may have seen him in last Saturday's Salt Lake Tribune announcing the Lori kay Soares Hacking Memorial Scholarship Fund (donate if you can).

All Porsche's welcome and his tours are fantastic...

Eric, Ed is leaving for a week on the 1st for a bit of vacation. I can call him monday and see if he can't get you setup before he leaves for vacation. Let me know and I'll see if I can't get you taken care off.
