I suppose I am very late to this game - but I wasn't aware of the lifter quality problems until just very recently (and have now gone back and read through the archives). My engine is/was 100% ready to install and break in this weekend, but can't risk the new engine to questionable lifters.

I have the #73 webcam with matching lifters (yes, the 2 piece versions).

So now I'm on the waiting list for a set of ceramics from Charles Navarro. Down side is it will be at least a month before getting them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Crap like this makes me want to buy a Miata.

So much for this autox season........

P.S. On the bright side, I'm thankful that people like Charles are even around to supply us with quality parts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif)

Peter

Just got an e-mail from Charles (and you). He said that I could have your set when they arrive (expected in a week or two).

Wahoo!! Thank you so much Peter! I feel much better now!

Come and get a set. They are sitting on our shelves..

You should really check local vendors every once in awhile.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Sitting on your shelves? I didn't think anyone had them stocked (hence the waiting list).

Are the ones that you have the drop-in, stock pushrod height version?

I didnt order anything else from him.. they better be what you described. I just received them 3 weeks or so ago. I help him out the best I can with product info and test cases.. I would like to think he show's me/us some favoritism.

I personally dont think he has sold the machine in type for at least 9-10 months or so.

Just picked up a set of ceramics from Brad and Rich over at HPH. So the engine will be in this weekend!! Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope I didn't build a grenade. But one thing I know for sure, the cam won't be a problem!

Thanks to Charles and Peter for the help. Thanks to Brad and Rich at HPH for the parts! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)
