Im on my way putting a 1,7 engine together using Curil K2 on the case halves.
Should I glue the gasket behind the oil pump also on one or both sides? (when taking it apart it looked to be glued on both sides) Also I can not get Loctite 565 where I live is there an alternative for the galley plugs etc? Lars S |

I've found permatex 3h or aviation gasket maker to work better on case halves. Curil k2 is too thin which makes it good for where the smallest bit of space is critical, like an oil pump cover. Do both sides for sure. Loctite 518 might even be better for galley plugs as it dries without air.
